The Ultimate F2P Pulling Guide for Arknights: Endfield: Secure Core Operators Without Spending money

AmethyAmethyJanuary 15, 2026

For those just getting to know Arknights: Endfield, pulling characters is key to building a strong team, but many worry they "can't play without spending." Actually, this game's gacha system is quite friendly to free-to-play (F2P) and dolphin(low spender)—it has clear guarantee rules, and you can earn plenty of free pull resources through daily gameplay. Below, we break down the most practical F2P pulling guide from three angles: banner mechanics, resource acquisition, and practical tips, to help you start strong and avoid common pitfalls.

Part 1: Understanding the Three Core Banners – Which to Pull and When?

Pulling in Endfield is divided into three types: "New Horizons Headhunting", "Basic Headhunting" and "LimitedChartered Headhunting". Each banner has different unlock conditions, pity rules, and ideal use cases. F2P players should choose wisely to avoid wasting resources.

1.New Horizons Headhunting (Beginner Exclusive Banner): Your Must-Get "Guaranteed 6-Star"

This is the top priority for new players. By progressing through the main mission, you earn [New Horizons HH-10×Permit] tickets. Completing the early chapters grants 40 free pulls—and within these 40 pulls is guaranteed to contain a 6-star Operator, along with several 5-stars and resources, giving you a solid core team from the start. Crucially, after finishing this banner, you can choose one 6-star Operator from a selection of five. Here’s what to watch out for when picking:

📍Ardelia (Healer): Strong healing, but she's given for free on the third day of launch events. No need to pick her.

📍Ember (Healer/Shielder): Can heal and provide shields. Useful early but not essential. (The role of Snowshine, which was reserved for free gifts, is also a Healer/Shielder.)

📍Pogranichnik (Physical DPS): If your team lacks a main damage dealer (main DPS), he's the top choice—his damage output is the highest among these five and he remains a core unit for a long time.

📍Last Rite (Ice Off-Field DPS): Strong damage output, suitable for players who prefer active damage dealing. (However, current ice teams are more niche/single-target focused, the full synergy isn't established yet, and they rely on supports. High potential, but not ideal for early-game progression.)

📍Lifeng (Physical Sub-DPS): Can team up with Pogranichnik, Chen Qianyu, and Kachier (Tank) to form a physical team considered top-tier (T0) at launch. (The other T0 team is the premium fire team featuring limited characters: Laevatain, Antal, Qiuli, and Ardelia.)

Reminder: This banner is a one-time opportunity for new players only. Make sure to complete the main story to get all 40 free pulls before making your 6-star selection.

Additionally, there's a selectable 6-star Weapon Pack as part of the beginner rewards. Choose a weapon that matches your obtained characters to boost their combat power. For example, if you get Pogranichnik, pick a 6-star weapon suited for him; if you get Laevatain, choose a fire-based weapon.

2.Basic Headhunting (Standard Banner): The "Stable Pool" for Long-Term Teambuilding

This permanent banner contains all standard Operators (initially, its 6-star roster largely overlaps with the beginner banner). It's best for filling team gaps later on; don't invest heavily in it early. Its pity rules are straightforward:

📍Every 10-pull guarantees at least one 5-star Operator (yellow), so you never go long without a higher-rarity pull.

📍Every 80 pulls guarantees a 6-star Operator (orange), known as the "soft pity." This rule applies to all standard banners.

📍If you want a specific standard 6-star, you can directly exchange for one after accumulating 240 pulls, bypassing luck.

Pulls here require "Basic Headhunting Permit" (commonly called "HH Permit/blue tickets"), with a 10-pull costing 10 tickets. The pull animation can be skipped to save time. Also, don't worry about pulling duplicate Operators—dupes are converted into "Character Constellations," which enhance that Operator's unique abilities.

Limited Chartered Headhunting will continue in the next article.
