The Havoc team breaks free from sanctions! Wuthering Waves' Tower of Adversity receives an update

MikapikaMikapikaFebruary 25, 2026

Wuthering Waves officially updated the Tower of Adversity for February. To be honest, the changes in this tower are quite significant. Phrolova's Havoc team has temporarily escaped trouble, and the official target seems to have shifted to Augusta's Electro team.

Fortunately, the resistance monsters in stages 3-3 and 3-4 have Havoc and Spectro resistances, so there are still quite a few teams that can be used. However, the target enemies' HP has increased compared to the previous update. Let's take a closer look at the details together!

1. Tower of Adversity Update Details

First, let's take a look together at the update for this Tower of Adversity. The difficulty of both towers is moderate; the left tower decreases Glacio resistance, effectively countering Carlotta, while the tower boss consists of two Electro enemies.

The right tower is equipped with the Aero Feilian Beringal, with reduced Havoc resistance. The amplification mechanism is related to abnormal effects. The difficulty of the left and right towers is not high; even with reversed resistance, Phrolova can handle it very easily.

The focus remains on the middle four towers. The resistances of Tower 1 and Tower 2 are as follows: enemy Fusion and Spectro resistances are reduced by 10%, while Electro and Glacio resistances are increased by 10%. Moreover, Tower 1 and Tower 2 not only have increased Electro resistance, but the enemies themselves also possess Electro resistance. Therefore, using Augusta in an Electro team is not recommended.

The buff effect increases the character's attack when casting an Intro Skill, stacking up to 4 layers. When fully stacked at 4 layers, the character's Fusion damage is further increased by 40%. If conditions allow, it is best to use the Phoenix Ship Flag Fire team.

The main mechanics of stages 3-3 and 3-4 focus on final damage increase, with enemy elemental resistances raised by 15%. To remove this resistance, enemies must be affected by Resonance damage or Havoc effects. At the same time, the Tune-Rupture effects and Fusion Burst dealt to enemies are also enhanced. It is clear that the developers are boosting the new character, Aemeath.

However, the arrangement of the monsters in the third and fourth middle stages is still quite strange, especially in the third middle stage, where there are directly four Spectro-resistant monsters. In the fourth middle stage, there is a Black Sheep plus Tacet Discord. Although the monsters' HP has increased, after this wave, players will have more usable teams at their disposal.

2. Tower of Adversity Team Recommendations

After reviewing this update for the Tower of Adversity, let's recap some team compositions. For the left tower, you can use Carlotta’s Glacio team, such as the classic Carlotta + Zhezhi + The Shorekeeper lineup. For the right tower, a Havoc team is recommended, and Camellya’s Havoc team is a great fit.

Next is the key mid-level towers. For Mid-1 and Mid-2, you can use a Fusion team, such as the Phoenix Flagship or the Galbrena-Qiuyuan team. Additionally, if you have the Dragon-Phoenix team or the Phrolova-Brant team, those work as well. This way, the Fusion team saved here can be deployed for Mid-3 and Mid-4.

As for the third and fourth mid-level stages, you can directly use your strongest team, as long as it’s not a Spectro team. However, the Black Sheep in the fourth mid-level stage has Havoc resistance, so it’s best not to use Phrolova’s Havoc team there.

If you’ve already used the strongest team but still can’t win, you can wait a few more days. After the release of the new 3.1 character Aemeath, try drawing Aemeath and forming a team with Mornye and Lynae to challenge again. It will be easier, since the mid-3 and mid-4 environments better suit the new Fusion Burst mechanics.
