Arknights: Endfield Beginner's Guide (Part 1): Easily Missed Key Points

AmethyAmethyJanuary 23, 2026

Hey everyone, it's Amethy! I've been grinding the game all day today and I have to say, Endfield is incredibly fun—I just can't put it down! As a long-time Genshin player, I've noticed this game has quite a few differences. I thought I'd take some time to write a beginner's guide.

For this first part, I'm compiling some key points or minor details that new players might overlook. I'll keep adding to this as I play more, and welcome everyone to contribute in the comments!

※ The following points are listed as they come to mind; the order doesn't indicate importance.

Point 1: Perfect Dodge is Crucial

This is a fundamental mechanic and a skill that separates veterans from beginners. While you can still clear content smoothly without it, performing a Perfect Dodge restores a small amount of SP, which is key for chaining your skills more fluidly later on.
※ You can practice Perfect Dodge in: Operational Manual → Training → Basic Training → General Tactics → Dodge & Perfect Dodge.

Point 2: SP is Shared by All Four Characters

Using any character's Battle Skill consumes one segment of the shared SP gauge. SP regenerates over time and refills quickly when out of combat. Perfect Dodges and landing Final Strikes also restore SP. Since it's shared and capped at 3 segments max, think about your skill rotation order and use different Battle Skills according to the situation.

Point 3: Dash-Jumping Covers More Distance

A vital exploration tip is the dash-jump, especially for platforming. It lets you jump significantly farther. (The accompanying image would show a comparison of a regular jump vs. a dash-jump from a cliff edge).

Point 4: Use Aerial Attacks to Reach Higher Aurylene

A universal trick: performing an attack in the air causes your character to rise slightly before descending. Use this to collect Aurylene that's otherwise out of reach. Great for grabbing several floating Aurylene early on when you can't be bothered to find the proper path.

Point 5: You Can Lay Relay Towers While Pulling Wires

When setting up power lines, you don't need to place all the Relay Towers first. You can pull the wire and place towers directly along the path as you go, calculating the distance on the fly.

Point 6: Don't Spam Combo Skills – Mind the Cooldown

Combo Skills have their own cooldown. While spamming them deals high burst damage, the resulting cooldown window might disrupt your overall skill flow. There's also a short execution bar (about 6-8 seconds buffer time) when using them.

Point 7: Heat DMG + Cryo Infliction ≠ Cryo Infliction + Heat DMG

This is about triggering Elemental Reactions. The order of application matters:

  • Heat + Cryo = Solidification (Freeze)
  • Cryo + Heat = CombustionElemental application (Arts Infliction) is a major and very important feature of this game!

Point 8: Don't Claim Rewards for Protocol Space's First Level to Save Sanity

After completing the first level of a Protocol Space stage, DO NOT claim the rewards. Simply press ESC (or the equivalent exit button) to leave. This will still unlock the second level while saving you 40 Sanity. Doing this for every stage saves 240 Sanity total. Every bit counts!

Point 9: The Operational Manual is Full of Resources

Check the Operational Manual under Nodes, Dailies, Training, and Simulation. Completing these grants a significant amount of Oroberyl, crucial for pulling characters and other uses.

Point 10: Get into the Habit of Gathering Everything

Go to Backpack → Crafting → Crafting Manual to claim various rewards. These are based on your total gathering counts for different materials. Making a habit of picking up everything nets you lots of resources here!

Point 11: Combat Facilities Have a Placement Limit

You can deploy Combat Facilities (turrets) to help fight, but there's a global deployment limit. You can't rely on them to clear entire maps of enemies.

Point 12: Use the Map's Rare Resource Tracker

No need to memorize respawn timers for rare materials. The top-left corner of the map shows which ones are available. Clicking on the icon will even guide you to its location. Tracking them makes finding rare resources much easier.

Point 13: Pick Up New Items Once for Auto-Loot

If you notice your squad isn't automatically collecting ore or wood you break, it might be because it's a new resource type. You need to manually pick it up the first time, after which your squad will auto-loot it.

Point 14: Carry Electric Pylons, Not Just Relay Towers

Electric Pylons and Originium Rigs aren't just for your base; you can use them to extend power lines in the field. Relay Towers are taller but can't be placed inside caves or buildings. That's where the shorter Electric Pylons come in handy.
※ PS: Relay Towers have an 80m connection range, while Electric Pylons have a 30m range.

Point 15: Hold to Fill Bottles at Wuling Spring

When filling bottles at Wuling Spring, just hold the button to fill it completely—no need to tap repeatedly.

These are the 15 points I've thought of so far that are easy to miss. If you have any other tips for new players, please share them below!
