Is the Arknights: Endfield Arsenal Exchange truly generous?

PearcePearceFebruary 28, 2026

Is it genuinely free or just a bigger trap? Let me analyze it for you with data.

I've been really frustrated with the Arsenal Exchange recently, so I'm here to vent a bit two hours before the exchange update.

Many friends have fallen for HyperGryph's trick, thinking this Arsenal Exchange is good. I say it's not good at all!

1. Is the Arsenal Exchange really free? Some say that the Arsenal Ticket is just a byproduct of headhunting operators, so the weapons are free. I think this is wrong. By that logic, operators would also be free since headhunting operators is just a byproduct of playing the game. Whether something is free or not doesn't depend on how you get it, but whether you can actually obtain it: if every operator you headhunt comes with their exclusive weapon, then it’s truly free; otherwise, it’s not. Currently, if we roughly allocate the cost, each operator headhunt costs 500 Oroberyl, of which you can think 300 Oroberyl is for the operator, and the remaining 200 Oroberyl is converted into Arsenal Ticket. So rather than saying the weapons are free, it’s more like a bundled sale.

2. Is it easy to get weapons from the Arsenal Exchange? Not really. The formula is clear: the byproduct of 200 operator headhuntings only equals about one guaranteed weapon. Relying solely on the byproduct from operator headhuntings to get exclusive weapons for all operators is nearly impossible. Also, Oroberyl itself cannot be used to pull weapons; you can only exchange limited Origeometry for Arsenal Ticket, and the exchange rate is very low.

3. Are weapons easy to get? The 4% drop rate looks high but actually isn’t.
4% * 25% = 1%
0.99^70 = 49.5%
Why 70 and not 80? Because if you don’t get it in 70 pulls, you have to do another 10-pull. 49.5% is the probability of getting a guaranteed exclusive weapon by the 8th 10-pull. Some say even the off-banner weapons are six-star, which is better than other games. But when observing things, you shouldn’t just look at the appearance but the essence. The off-banner weapons in HyperGryph’s exchange look like six-star but are actually four-star. Think about how the Genshin weapons are: only operator-exclusive weapons count as five-star, and permanent operator-exclusive weapons are permanent five-star. In Endfield, six-star weapons are everywhere—free weapon boxes, monthly cards, off-banner weapons—but these so-called six-star weapons are basically the Genshin’ four-star weapons. They can’t even compare to permanent five-star weapons because permanent operators in Endfield also have exclusive weapons that you can’t get off-banner. I’ve seen many friends post screenshots of 10-pulls with four reds, which is basically like getting one gold and three purples in Genshin, or four purples if all are off-banner—not something to be happy about.

4. How to pull weapons better?
Currently, headhunting two operators for one weapon seems to meet expectations best. For missing weapons, you can use Protocol Pass weapons as a substitute. For example, Yvonne has the Navigator which is suitable and can be used without specifically pulling her exclusive weapon. Many operators can’t use their exclusive weapons and have to rely on lower-tier six-star weapons (which are actually four-star) as substitutes, and this is something you have to accept.
