Ranking of the highest usage five-star characters in Wuthering Waves without their signature weapons

As is well known, in Wuthering Waves, each limited character has their own exclusive weapon. Players need to spend Astrite or Forging Tide to obtain them. However, the enhancement effects of exclusive weapons on the characters are also visually noticeable, so limited characters almost always use their exclusive weapons.

However, in Wuthering Waves, there are a few characters who take an unconventional path—the usage rate of their non-exclusive weapons is even higher than that of their exclusive weapons. This has left many new players wondering why these characters rarely pull for their exclusive weapons. Today, I will provide answers to these questions one by one!

(In no particular order)

1.Mornye

First, let's talk about the new character introduced in the latter half of version 3.0 — Mornye. The usage rate of her signature weapon is currently only 25.4%, whereas the usage rate of the 4-star weapon Discord is as high as 67.3%. This data is quite astonishing. So, for many players, why do they prefer to use Echoing Ethereal?

The reason is that this weapon is very useful for support-type Broadblade operators, providing essential Resonance efficiency for Morning and its special effect can also restore Sonata energy. The difference from the signature weapon is minimal, so isn’t it better to save the Astrite for pulling Aemeath?

2. Ciaccona

Next is Ciaccona in the second Aero-Eroded slot. The usage rate of her signature weapon, Woodland Aria, is only 23.8%, whereas the five-star permanent weapon, Static Mint, has a usage rate of 48.7%. Forest Lament increases the wielder’s Aero damage and adds an additional resistance reduction effect.

For a civilian Glacio team, Cartethyia alone provides enough damage output. Although there is resistance reduction, spending 12,800 Astrite for such a small boost is somewhat extravagant. Additionally, the Smoke of Stasis increases Resonance efficiency, improving the team's overall tolerance for errors.

3. The Shorekeeper

The third character, The Shorekeeper, is very similar to Mornye. Her signature weapon usage rate is 42.2%, and her Intro Skill usage rate narrowly leads at 43.8%. As a true deity of Wuthering Waves, there must be reasons for The Shorekeeper's relatively low signature weapon usage rate.

Although The Shorekeeper's signature weapon can enhance Resonance efficiency, HP, Sonata Effect, and attack, its benefits are average. Moreover, this weapon is exclusive to The Shorekeeper, resulting in a low cost-performance ratio. For the general player base, when the gains are similar, why spend extra Astrite to pull for the signature weapon?

4. Zhezhi

Finally, there's Zhezhi, a veteran character introduced in version 1.2. The usage rate of her signature weapon is only 25%, while the five-star permanent weapon has a usage rate of 25.3%. The most surprising is that other weapons have a usage rate as high as 28.2%.

However, Zhezhi is actually a bit different from the three mentioned above. Zhezhi players do not avoid pulling for this signature weapon; most players who obtain it use it for Encore. Moreover, Zhezhi is a legitimate C-role character. If you’re not aiming for damage and only want support effects, using a five-star permanent weapon or a Variation offers the best cost-performance ratio.

These four characters currently have the highest usage rates without their signature weapons in Wuthering Waves. I wonder whether everyone uses their signature weapons or other weapons for these four characters? Feel free to discuss in the comments!
