Character Development Guide

Echo System and Equipment Introduction

1. Character Development Guide

1. Training Priority: Character Level → Weapon → Skill→ Echo

2. Waveplates Allocation: In the early stages, aside from basic character development, prioritize using Waveplates to farm Shell Credit dungeons. In the later stages, Waveplates consumption significantly increases for character and weapon enhancement. Remember to also complete the weekly dungeon up to three times per week.

3. Echo System: This can be understood as the character's equipment. In the early stages, there is no need to deliberately farm; purple Echos are sufficient. Once the Data Bank level increases, gold Echos will be produced consistently. At that point, consider farming and optimizing your setup.

2. Echo System (Equipment) Introduction

1. Echo Acquisition: Obtained by defeating monsters in the open world, or through Tacet Field, Strong Enemy Hunt, and Nightmare Exorcism.

2. Echo Quality: 2, 3, 4, and 5 stars, corresponding to Green, Blue, Purple, and Gold respectively;

3. Echo COST value:

① The Wuthering Waves COST cap is related to the equipment and combination of a character's Echo. Players can break through the COST cap by upgrading the Data Bank. The higher the level of the Dock, the higher the COST cap. Currently, the COST cap is 12 (Data Bank level > 8).

② At the same time, Echoes are also divided into three COST values: COST1, COST3, and COST4;

③ The first Echo can be released in battle to trigger additional effects; the first Echo is often paired with COST4 or COST3.

4. Echo Sonata Sets: Echoes can form sets to trigger 2-piece, 3-piece, or 5-piece set effects. Different Resonators have unique set combinations, depending on the specific situation.

5. Standard Echo Combination Formulas: 43311 / 44111;

6. Data Bank Quick Upgrade:

The Data Bank level affects your Echo drop rate and the highest quality of drops. You can upgrade the Data Bank by gaining experience based on the quality of the Echoes you collect for the first time.

① Open world explore: Echoes can be dropped with a chance by defeating Tacet Discords in the open world. Unknown Echoes can also be tracked through the Echo Compendium.

② Killing Red-Named Enemies: Red-named monsters have fixed levels. Parry and dodge counterattacks deal high fixed damage, and killing them guarantees a drop of gold Echoes, saving a lot of time farming low-level Echoes;

③ Data Merge: The terminal can convert 5 unenhanced Echos into 1 random new Echo. Enhanced Echos cannot be used for data fusion. Echos that are equipped or locked cannot be selected as materials. Data fusion cannot obtain Echos that have not been unlocked, so it cannot unlock entries in the compendium; it can only upgrade existing entries. The quality of the newly produced Echo is determined by the current Data Dock level, regardless of the quality of the Echos used. Increasing the Data Dock level improves the quality of the produced Echo.

④ Tacet Field: Clearing Tacet Fields on the map will randomly drop Echoes with attributes.

Note: The Data BANK level cap is tied to your SOL3 Phase level. If your Data Bank level is stuck, you need to increase your SOL3 Phase level!
