Wuthering Waves Guide: How to Develop Chisa
Chisa has officially launched in Wuthering Waves. Players who want to know how to develop her can refer to this build guide brought to you by Rushbuy. We hope this helps everyone.
① Chisa is positioned as a Havoc support. Chisa primarily joins abnormal effect teams to reduce defense and increase damage, stack abnormal effect layers, and provide healing shields, while also having a certain amount of damage output. In non-effect teams, she can serve as a defense-reducing healer support. Additionally, she has crowd control capabilities, which are very useful in Whimpering Wastes. In the current version,She ranks T0.5 in Tower of Adversity with zero Resonance Chains and T1.5 in Whimpering Wastes. She is expected to see improvements in future versions.
② For Chisa Echo set recommendations, prioritize the Thread of Severed Fate three-piece set combined with either the Lingering Tunes / Midnight Veil/ Havoc Eclipse two-piece sets. If Resonance efficiency is insufficient, you can start with the Light Clouds Moon Out two-piece set for efficiency. If your technique is lacking, consider equipping the Rejuvenating Glow two-piece set to supplement healing. Note that for Cartethyia and Ciaccona teams, do not equip Chisaki with the Moonlit Clouds five-piece set, as Cartethyia does not benefit from Attack bonuses. A zero-chain Chisa focused purely on defense reduction and healing can use the Rejuvenating Glow five-piece set.

③ Chisa's primary damage output type is Resonance Liberation damage. It is recommended to convene Resonance Chains of 2, 3, or 6 links: 2 links enhance team output, 3 links increase personal damage and Tune Break faster, and 6 links provide comprehensive improvements. The 2-link chain offers the best cost-performance ratio and is estimated to reach the highest level among all current supports, significantly boosting Cartethyia team’s damage. For pure numerical optimization, 2+1 links are recommended.

④ Chisa's preferred weapon is the signature weapon, Kumokiri. Besides that, the signature weapons of Lupa, Augusta, Jinhsi, and Jiyan can also provide damage boosts. The advantage of a permanent 5-star Broadblade is lower compared to the signature weapons of the characters. Of course, if you want to enhance the team, the essential signature weapon is Kumokiri.
⑤ Chisa primarily serves as a support damage booster in status effect teams. The current status effect teams include Cartethyia and Zani, with Cartethyia being the most suitable partner at present. Chisa’s ability to increase the maximum layers of status effects and provide healing allows her to fully replace an Aero main, and she also offers significant damage boosts to status effect teams. When paired with Cartethyia, Cartethyia will continue to grow stronger. Zani cannot apply status effects herself and therefore cannot benefit from Chisa’s signature weapon effect. In future versions, Chisa will have more opportunities with new status effect teams, making her highly versatile. If you want to use Chisa as a main DPS currently, consider sub-DPS characters with Resonance Liberation damage boosts, such as Jianxin, Yinlin, or Changli. If you don’t have The Shorekeeper, Chisa can temporarily serve as a defense-reducing healer for most teams.
