RavenRavenFebruary 26, 2026

Which Players Are Best Suited to Pull the New Character?

Today, Wuthering Waves officially announced the latter half of version 3.1. As a brand-new Spectro Gauntlet main DPS, many players are curious about the differences between Luuk Herssen and Zani, who shares the same role. What exactly are the mechanics of his skills?

So the core content of this issue is an analysis of the new character Luuk Hersse's skill mechanics. Additionally, we've prepared character pull recommendations for Luuk Herssen, highlighting which players are suitable to pull and which should consider carefully. Let's take a closer look at the details together!

1. Analysis of Luuk Herssen' Skill Mechanics

First, an analysis of Luuk's skill mechanics: Luuk's role is a Spectro Gauntlet main DPS, with a combat style focused on normal attack damage and Resonance response. The conclusion is that Luuk is the new system's normal attack DPS, with certain dependencies on Lynae and Mornye.

Luuks' core mechanism revolves around energy stacking and dealing damage. Simply put, Luuk has two energy bars. The normal energy bar is very easy to obtain, with a maximum of 300 points. Team members casting Outro Skills provide 200 points, and Luuk entering the field with an Intro Skill grants an additional 100 points.

Equivalent to Luuks' Intro Skill entry instantly filling the normal energy bar. Once the normal energy bar is full, Luuk enters the Golden Discretion state, during which his three consecutive aerial normal attacks deal significantly enhanced damage.

After unleashing three enhanced Resonance Skills, use Lu Hes's Resonance Liberation to maximize his full damage combo. This is the core skill mechanism of Lu Hes.

II. Recommendations for Character Pulls: Luuk

Next is the character selection recommendation for Luuk. The reason why Luuk has a certain demand for lynae is mainly due to Luuk' innate skill—Causeless Remedy.

For every 10 points of Resonance Disruption Amplification that Luuk Herssen possesses, damage dealt to targets affected by Resonance Interference is increased by 5%, up to a maximum of 30%. Additionally, when there is a character in the team applying Resonance Offset or Resonance Disruption, Luuk’s attacks are further increased by 25%.

Lynae's Resonance Circuit can increase the team's Harmony Break Amplification by 40 points, meaning that with Lynae in the team, you can gain a full 25% damage amplification.

As Mornye serves as a Shorekeeper-level entity in the new system, it can additionally provide a layer of Sonata Interference. Therefore, players with Lynae and Mornye can choose to pull Luuk to form a ready team directly.

Of course, if you don’t have either of these two characters, my advice is to consider carefully—especially for players who have pulled Aemeath. There will be a Burst sub-DPS coming later. If you’re set on pulling, the lineup of Luuk + Sanhua + The Shorekeeper is also viable.
