Wuthering Waves Lynae Comprehensive Development Guide: Role Introduction and Equipment Strategy

Wuthering Waves version 3.0 has been released, and the new five-star Lynae banner is now live. So, what is Lynae’s role, and how should you develop her? Here is a comprehensive Lynae cultivation guide for Wuthering Waves. Let’s take a look.

Lynae is positioned as a Spectro sub-DPS.

Lynae serves as a versatile secondary DPS with strong crowd control, outperforming previous versions of secondary DPS. Most of her buffs, except for the Outro Resonance Liberation damage bonus, can be utilized by most main DPS characters. Lynae provides overall damage amplification, total damage bonuses, and increased Tune Rupture amplification. The Echo set boosts attack power, and her signature weapon offers team-wide total damage increases. She is currently the only character capable of applying Tune Rupture effects, making her suitable for both legacy teams and those utilizing new mechanics. Lynae can specialize in either Tune Rupture or Tune Strain routes, allowing for flexible builds. She is recommended for both new players starting out and returning veterans.

Echo Set

Recommended Echo set for Lynae prioritizes the five-piece Pact of Neonlight Leap, an excellent choice as a sub-DPS, providing an attack bonus to the next character. The first slot should equip COST 4 Hyvatia, granting an all-attribute damage bonus to the next character.

If planning to pull for high Resonance Chains and use Lynae as the main DPS, the Echo set should be the five-piece Rite of Gilded Revelation, which increases Spectro damage and normal attack damage. Note that as the main DPS, the first slot must equip COST 3 Twin Nova: Nebulous Cannon, providing bonuses to Spectro and normal attack damage. If used purely as a 0+0 support without output and limited development resources, the five-piece Moonlit Clouds set can be used as a substitute.

Lynae's primary damage type is normal attack damage.

For Resonance Chains, it is recommended to pull for 1, 2, or 6 chains. The 2-chain further increases the main C’s total damage amplification. The other Resonance Chains mainly enhance Lynae’s own damage. The 6-chain can significantly boost overall scaling. If resources are limited, you can use a 0+0 setup with a permanent Pistols weapon. To improve scaling, consider 0+1 or 2+1. Whales can opt for 6+1.
